chamber music

Starting in the nineties as violist of the Ensemble Antipodes         (Migros prizewinner and Ensemble in Residence of the International ISCM 2005) and tours with the Streiff Trio gave me a fine balance of the near orchestral experience of Schubert’s Octet and the small intricate work of a string trio.

In recent year, the work in the 3G string quartet has resulted in reference recordings of the string quartets of Klaus Huber and Swiss composer Heidi Baader-Nobs, who subsequently flatteringly dedicated her Viola concerto to me (Heidi does not flatter, she is one of the most outspoken people I know, so I was flattered).

Very special is my work in the Ensemble vanderWaals, a double cello quintet – so I am all alone vs two violins and two Celli: Boccherini and new works written for us!
